Football Playoffs

Mustang Football defeats Woodcreek 39-23 and Granite Bay 35-24 and Elk Grove 27-23.  Now on to the Sac Joaquin Section Championship at Sac City College Saturday night November 27th at 6pm. Go Mustangs!

Congratulations to Women’s Water Polo who has overcome the odds of having a very small roster and made it to the playoffs for the FIRST TIME EVER in the history of the Mustangs!

Statement Regarding Education-Based Athletics for 2020-21 School Year

Season 1 sports are on hold, effective December 7th (FB) and December 14th (Cross Country, D7 Soccer, Water Polo-B&G, Girls Volleyball, Badminton), practices and competition are on hold until the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), in conjunction with the State of California Governor’s office, release return-to-activity guidelines. The CIFSJS will be meeting to discuss additional steps and timelines for the SJS.

The CIF Sac-Joaquin Section will follow the CIF State modified sport calendar for the 2020-21 school year. It means many changes for our schools and our student-athletes, and these decisions didn’t come lightly. E-learning, Distance and Hybrid Coursework Update

In an effort to provide clarity to students and parents making decisions regarding the 2020-2021 academic year, the NCAA Eligibility Center is providing additional guidance regarding distance, e-learning or hybrid options made available by schools with NCAA-approved core courses. The Eligibility Center will continue to monitor the environment and make determinations on extension of other COVID-19 relief policies as more information becomes available.
