2021-2022 Spring Sports Information

Hello Mustangs,

Spring sports for softball/baseball officially start January 31st.  All other spring sports start February 7th. If you are interested in playing a spring sport you must complete the athletic clearance process at athleticclearance.com.  Here you will upload all required documents to your athletic clearance account.  Click HERE for step-by-step instructions. Paperwork that must be uploaded are a completed physical dated after 5/1/21 with a doctor stamp, confirmation page from Athletic Clearance, Student Alternative Transportation Form, and the Covid-19 Wavier. In order to tryout you must have be cleared on athleticclearance.com and have a minimum 2.0GPA from your final term two grades to tryout. If you have any other sports specific questions, you can email your coach directly.  GO MUSTANGS!!!

Football Playoffs

Mustang Football defeats Woodcreek 39-23 and Granite Bay 35-24 and Elk Grove 27-23.  Now on to the Sac Joaquin Section Championship at Sac City College Saturday night November 27th at 6pm. Go Mustangs!

Congratulations to Women’s Water Polo who has overcome the odds of having a very small roster and made it to the playoffs for the FIRST TIME EVER in the history of the Mustangs!

They will play this Tuesday, 5:00pm at Woodcreek!  Purchase tickets on the GoFan app.  Go Mustangs!

At Monterey Trail we use an online clearance process to clear our athletes. The website is www.athleticclearance.com

Students will need to create an account and upload a current physical after May 1st, 2021 for the School year of 2021-2022. You must be academically eligible from final term 4 grades to tryout for a 2021 fall sport.

If you are interested in trying out for the 2021-22 Cheer Team, please fill out the google form and visit the Athletic Website for forms and information regarding upcoming tryouts.

Walk On Football Tryouts Thursday May 20 – 1:45-2:30

Walk On Football Tryouts are for any current Monterey Trail Student who did not Play Football this past school year in 2020-21.  If interested bring athletic shoes and cleats, t-shirt and shorts ready to workout. This will allow Coach Ewing and staff to understand your interest in the upcoming Football season. This tryout is specifically aimed at getting the SUMMER roster set up for Fall 2021 season.  Official Tryouts are July 26, 2021 more details will be posted as we get closer to that date.
