MTHS Athletic Department Photography

It has been great to work with your teams this year.

Please let your athletes know that Individual and Team photos for their sport has been posted to MaxPreps.com

Most teams were large enough to have their own gallery for each Team.  For all other teams

I had to combine galleries as follows:

Track and Field…all photos (boys and girls) are under Varsity Boys.

M Tennis and Volleyball are in the same gallery (Men’s Varsity Volleyball).

W Volleyball:  All 3 teams are in the Varsity W Volleyball Gallery

W Tennis and W Golf are combined together under Women’s Varsity Tennis

All Water Polo images (Men and Women) are listed in Men’s Varsity Water Polo.

These were all posted last week and if athletes and their parents are interested they can purchase digital images from

MaxPreps.com

Sincerely,

Thomas Kuhl, photographer

October is Cancer Awareness Month

October is Cancer Awareness Month.  In recognition of the fight against cancer, all Mustang football players will be wearing a Pink ribbon sticker on the back of their helmets.

As per MTHS Football Tradition we will maintain our Green, Gold and Black uniform code during the month of October.

Unfortunately, we have all been touched by this tragic disease in some way. We are reminded every day at Mark Macres Memorial Stadium. Our stadium was dedicated to Mr. Mark Macres, MTHS founding Vice Principal of Athletics, after he passed away in 2007.  In remembrance of Mr. Macres’ courageous battle with cancer, our MTHS Mustang student-athletes are encouraged to touch the memorial rock at the South end of the stadium.

October brings an opportunity for us all to come together to honor those who have fought and are fighting cancer and work towards finding a cure.  We encourage our MTHS Mustang families to support cancer awareness by donating to one of the following causes in support of cancer research and or cancer patient/family support. The first four directly benefit those in the greater Sacramento area.

  1. Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development

Shriners serves seriously ill children (burns, cancer, cleft palate, orthopedic/spine, etc), who have no other healthcare options.  The families of children treated by the Shriners are not charged for their care.  Shriners is funded through grants and donations.

If choosing Shriners, please attach a note asking that the funds being donated be directed to the Sacramento facility.
