{"id":4678,"date":"2018-03-07T18:32:37","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T18:32:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mthsmustangs.com\/?p=4678"},"modified":"2018-03-07T18:32:37","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T18:32:37","slug":"2018-19-mths-cheerleading-tryouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mthsmustangs.com\/?p=4678","title":{"rendered":"2018-19 MTHS Cheerleading Tryouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"684\"><strong><u>Tryout Informational Parent Meeting<\/u><\/strong><u>:<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>This meeting is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as the agenda items listed below will be discussed and all tryout forms will be distributed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, March 7<sup>th<\/sup> MTHS Cafeteria 7:00-8:00PM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mthsmustangs.com\/?attachment_id=4676\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4676\">Tryout Flyer 2018-19<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tryout Meeting Agenda:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tryout Procedures<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Program Expenses &#8211; Uniforms, Summer Camp, Spirit Attire, and Choreography\/Music<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Parent Participation \u2013 Fundraising <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Academic Eligibility and Behavior <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Handout of Required Forms for tryouts<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheer Tryouts<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Attendance at all five days of tryouts is mandatory unless excused by a coach.<\/u><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monday through Friday April 9<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 13<sup>th<\/sup> 6:30-8:30 PM<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monday the 9<sup>th<\/sup> sign in at 6:00<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location: Small Gym or TBD<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Attire: Shorts, T-Shirt, (no tank tops), Athletic Shoes, Bow<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In Order to Attend Tryouts, Candidates Must Provide\/have at the April 9<sup>th<\/sup> Sign-In:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cheer candidates must have a 2.0 on their TERM 3 FINAL report card to be eligible to try out. Progress Reports will also be taken under consideration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Cheerleaders will be invited to try out on the 13<sup>th<\/sup> based on prescreened grades\/attendance\/discipline.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Completed and signed Cheer Handbook Agreement<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Completed Emergency Information Card<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The entire tryout process is closed to spectators.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Only coaches, administration, judges, and staff are allowed during tryouts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>General Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Breakdown of program expenses will be discussed a t the parent meeting.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>There will be summer practices.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Summer camp date TBD.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Teams will be selected upon the following criteria:\u00a0 grades\/attendance\/discipline, and an evaluation from the tryouts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Varsity and JV cheerleading is a two season sport (fall\/winter).
